Kakehashi Project

We received a visit on February 7 from an American Jewish Committee delegation under the Kakehashi Project, a young international leadership exchange program supported by Japan’s Foreign Ministry. One member of the group was from the family of a Sugihara survivor. The person saved was a student in Mir Yeshiva, which thanks to the Sugihara visa was the only yeshiva to have been rescued in its entirety from Europe.

This is our third exchange with the group. We always enjoy meeting the latest participants and are inspired by their zeal to learn from and exchange with us.
